What does it mean being a Prefect student at Newton College?
Newton College School prefects have high integrity, they are capable of communicating honestly and effectively, and are prepared to undertake a range of roles which are essential to the daily running of our school. Prefects also are firm and fair in their role of authority and good prefects must be responsible, reliable and have high personal standards as well as strong self-discipline, as they are required to oppose and stop bullying. They also are able to handle conflict and have an open, genuine relationship with members of staff. Overall, Newton prefects are exemplary students who are good role models and assist in keeping order in the school.
